Li MacPherson
-BASIC INFORMATION-
Full Name: Annali Beth MacPherson
Preferred Name or Nickname: she likes when Dean calls her LiLi or LiLiMuffin (though it's been a long time since he has done so)... most of her friends call her Li
Original/Canon: original
Age: 32
Date of Birth: June 19, 1982
Main Character Classification - (List):human
Character Type:psychic
Power(s):Annali is an empath. She has the ability to sense emotions and often she can bend the emotions of others around her... sort of like a 'magic' way of cheering people up. That is, of course, if the emotions of others don't manage to get a hold of her and overwhelm her. Li has been known on occasion to get upset seemingly over nothing simply because the general mood of the room or of one or more people in it is full of gloom and despair. Annali's abilities as an empath make her more compassionate, more open and aware to the needs of others, and she does whatever is in her power to help fulfill those needs. Because she is so in tune with others' emotions, Annali has become quite skilled at reading body language, facial expressions, and hearing even the slightest distinction in the tone of someone's voice. She's somewhat of a human lie detector.
Sexuality: straight
Side(Good, Evil, or Neutral): Good
Hometown: Topeka, Kansas
Current Residence: Camp Chitaqua
-DETAILS-
Eye Color:baby blue
Hair Color:brown
Height:5'10"
Body Type:long-legged, slender, feminine
Distinguishing Marks: very prominent dimples
Tattoos and Piercings: just the ears are pierced... she has the anti-possession solar pentacle tattoo on her lower back
Vehicle (if you wish): She doesn't really drive anymore... there's nowhere to go and even if there were, Dean wouldn't let her go there alone. If she needed to go somewhere in an emergency there are vehicles around the camp she could take.
Personal Style (write a short paragraph): Annali isn't quite the shy, conservative girl she was five years ago. Where once she took great care in dressing feminine... making sure she didn't show too much skin... making sure that her hair and makeup were styled nicely whenever she could, she doesn't focus so much on that anymore. Now she seems to have traded style for comfort and most often wears dark or muted colors. In fact, Annali spends most of her time wearing worn jeans or camouflage pants and Dean's t-shirts, particularly when he's away. Sometimes she hides away from the rest of the camp... finds a quiet place and just curls up, wrapping her arms around herself and breathing him in... her way of keeping him close.

Strengths (3 at least):
•After all this time Annali still usually manages to keep a cool head under pressure
•She has developed through reading and training over the years a vast knowledge of CPR, first aid, and general survival. She has become very good at making the most out of limited resources.
•Though she finds it difficult, Annali does her best to stay positive even through all the chaos in the world. She knows the importance of keeping up the spirit and morale of the others in the camp. Li is aware that it's vital that they all keep fighting... otherwise the world is doomed.
Weaknesses (3 at least):
•Li has basic knowledge of weapons but she still isn't skilled with them like most of the others. She lacks physical strength and dexterity that many of her friends possess.
•Annali is so deeply in love with Dean that it can cloud her judgment. While she is loyal to everyone at the camp, if it came down to it she would sacrifice every single one of them if it meant saving him. That's only if she had no other choice... she would certainly never gamble with or offer up her friends as a sacrifice, and even doing so in such an extreme situation would destroy her emotionally, likely for good. In fact, she'd much rather sacrifice herself than any of her friends, but keeping Dean safe is number one.
•Even despite the horrors going on around her, Annali relies on her faith in God, probably more than she should. Now and then she may not make the best choices because she decides to just 'leave it in God's hands'...and doing so can put her friends at unnecessary risk.
Dreams for the Future:
•To reunite Dean with his brother and for the world to go back to the way it used to be
•To have her storybook fantasy happily ever after with Dean
Fears: The hunting party returning to camp without their leader.
Hero(es): The members of Camp Chitaqua have proven their bravery and loyalty on multiple occasions and she admires them all greatly for it and considers them all heroes for their strength and willpower. And of course, she will always consider Dean her personal hero.
Biggest Secret(s):Annali was caught by Cas attempting to swallow an obscene amount of prescription sleeping pills shortly after the death of her father. She has yet to tell anyone else about her near suicide attempt.
Personality (write a decent paragraph): Annali is no longer the sweet and timid woman she once was. Though she does her best to offer support and help keep morale up at the camp, especially knowing how much the troops count on her to keep them going, recent events have caused her to start losing hope, and her lack of spirit and confidence isn't always easy to hide, though she does try to do so. The only person she really feels she can be truly honest with about how she feels these days is Cas. She tries to keep Dean from seeing just how much she is hurting... feeling that it's her job to support him and his troops through this war... not drag them down.
Around the camp, Annali can be a bit of a mother hen. The people at Camp Chitaqua are the ones she considers her family now and she is desperate to keep them safe. She has learned over the years to fire a gun, how to defend herself in an emergency but she is definitely not a skilled hunter like most of the others. Li knows that her strengths lie in being a member of the 'supporting cast'... making sure everyone gets plenty to eat, plenty of rest, and that their injuries are properly attended to.
Li is still very much in love with Dean but the era of newfound puppy love is gone and they have settled into what she feels is a comfortable, stable relationship. She longs for the time when they could lie together for hours and just talk and laugh, but those days are long gone. She prays every night for him even though she knows most everyone else has given up on God... but Annali feels like she is running out of options. She worries about Dean... a lot. She worries about his safety, his state of mind... she worries that one day he will give up on the world completely and she feels that her number one priority is making sure that doesn't happen.
-CHARACTER HISTORY-
Father: David MacPherson (deceased)
Mother: Caitlyn MacPherson (whereabouts unknown)
Sibling(s): Kelli Jo MacPherson
Children:
Other Family: (close family) Dean Winchester (long time boyfriend)
"Family Don't End with Blood": (close friends) Castiel, Sully, Greg, Jo, Bobby, Adam, everyone else at Camp Chitaqua
History:Annali grew up in a loving home with an archaeologist father who was often gone for extended periods of time, a loyal and attentive (but not overbearing) mother and a younger sister who was her complete opposite as well as her best friend in the world. She had a happy childhood in a friendly neighborhood and grew up with unbelievable stories of her father's travels that Annali (along with many others in their community) found absolutely riveting. It was David MacPherson who inspired Annali to want to learn so much more about the world, eventually leading to her career as a school teacher.
It wasn't until she was in her mid 20s when Annali realized that there was much more truth to her father's tall tales than he had ever led on. In her father's absence, she became aware that her parents' home had acquired an unwanted guest... a ghost. She managed to get in contact with her father but rather than come home himself, he gave her the number of an old friend... John Winchester. It didn't take much to convince John's sons, Sam and Dean to come to Topeka to rescue her from the spirit. However, in the process of the encounter, an old locket was opened and Annali and Dean Winchester were cursed. For weeks the two of them couldn't be more than a few feet apart from one another without experiencing the pain of literal heartbreak. Forced to be in one another's company throughout the life of the curse, the two of them developed a bond and a trust, and though they didn't admit it at first, they fell in love. This was Li's introduction to the world of the supernatural. It was also how she found out that her father was more than just an archaeologist... he was a hunter.
It took a lot of research, the involvement of Annali's former boyfriend Greg and a trip to Italy to eventually break the curse. She parted ways with the Winchesters and kept in touch with Dean via phone and, now reunited with Greg, she convinced him to start training her in the basics of self defense, weapon skills and general knowledge of hunting and the creatures being hunted. Annali became obsessed with Dean's world and invested vast amounts of time into research and forming connections here and there. Her efforts eventually led her to the home of Bobby Singer, who had tried to get in touch with her father to acquire a book David MacPherson owned. Annali, knowing from past conversations with Dean about his connection with Bobby, made the deal with Bobby that she would bring him the books personally, but that she would be coming with them. Bobby reluctantly agreed and Annali packed up her life and moved to South Dakota, hoping against hope that it would lead her to the man she loved.
One day her choice to move in with Bobby was rewarded when Dean Winchester walked through the door and the two of them were reunited once again... this time neither of them were letting the other go. It was the start to a long, loving, affectionate, stressful, sometimes difficult relationship.
Over the next few years Annali was a big support system for Dean. She didn't usually join him on hunts unless he needed something in particular from her... most often she stayed back home and helped with research and acquiring rare artifacts by building an extensive list of contacts with other archaeologists, art and antique dealers, watching auctions, etc. It was difficult watching his pain, especially when he found out that Sam had said yes to Lucifer, but she knew that what he needed from her was support and emotional strength and if that was all she had to offer him, she offered it with her whole heart.
Over time Dean brought new people into her life and she did her best to welcome them with open arms. Eventually Camp Chitaqua was born, and Annali became a sort of den mother to most of its inhabitants, eventually coming to know them all as her new family. Through it all, she has turned to her Bible as her own personal support system. It's not easy for her to keep her faith in God but she knows that she needs something to hold onto and keep her grounded because she believes it's imperative that she stay focused and positive for the well-being of the others at the camp.
Annali's faith has never been tested so much as it was just four months ago when her father was killed by her own hand. The hunting party returned to camp, including her father and Dean. She rushed out to meet them and Dean tried to hold her back from embracing her father. When he pulled his gun out and aimed it at David MacPherson's face, insisting that he was infected with the virus, Li panicked and knocked the gun from his hand. Unfortunately this proved to be a near fatal mistake for her as her newly-infected father grabbed her by the hair and attempted to sink his teeth into her. Dean made the judgment that there wasn't time to retrieve his gun and pulled out his knife, stabbing David in the side. Unfortunately this didn't cause him to relinquish his hold on his daughter and Dean did what needed to be done, bringing the sharp blade down on Annali's silky brown locks, effectively severing her father's grip and allowing her to break free. Unfortunately the Croat was severely angered by this and attempted to find a new victim in Dean. Annali made a dive for Dean's gun and aimed, prayed silently in her head, and pulled the trigger, shooting her father right between the eyes and killing him.
Annali was quiet for days after that. She used a kitchen knife to crudely cut the rest of her hair, and kept to herself, most often locking herself away to cry. It was Cas who eventually helped her to break her silence, becoming the trusted friend and confidant that she so desperately needed. Their friendship was strengthened immensely and she trusts him now more than she trusts anyone else, with the exception of Dean.
Annali is still dealing with the inner turmoil of her error in judgment and how it led to her having to kill her father, but through Dean's love and the support of Cas and the rest of her friends, and through her faith in God, she is doing her best to come around again. After all, her friends need her.

Annali was starting to think of becoming a professional victim. She was getting pretty good at it really... even spent hours perfecting her 'terrified face' and her blood-curdling scream. Okay, so that wasn't true, but it did seem like ever since Sam and Dean Winchester walked into her life, she had been awakened to some seriously freaky stuff. And now it was even happening in her work place? With kids?!
The moment she heard Dean's voice on the phone she screamed his name, but the word was cut off as she was caught off-guard by the door opening and a blonde woman coming into the room and pointing her gun at the children. She realized that there was definitely something off about these kids but she wasn't convinced that they weren't children at all. For all she knew, they were spellbound or possessed, in which case there was no way she was going to let anyone harm them, even if this woman was trying to rescue her.
"No!" she shrieked, blue eyes wide as she pushed roughly past the creepy children and dove at the poor woman with the intent of knocking the gun out of her hand. "They're only children!" The phone, still connected to a jail-bound Dean Winchester, fell forgotten from the pocket of her cardigan and crashed to the floor.
